ADP® Small Business Services, part of the Employer Services Division of Automatic Data Processing, Inc., a leading provider of payroll, benefits and Human Resources (HR) services, and First Data Corp., a global leader in electronic commerce and payment services, announced today the signing of a multi-year marketing agreement. This relationship enables First Data to market ADP Small Business Services’ EasyPay(SM) payroll solution to companies with less than 50 employees.

Under the terms of the agreement, First Data’s merchant services sales channels can market ADP’s EasyPay and related small business offerings along with First Data’s proprietary check, credit, debit, and gift card acceptance programs. EasyPay is ADP’s fully outsourced service for payroll processing over phone, fax, or online utilizing ADP’s secure hosted application.

First Data will also market ADP’s popular TotalPay® product suite — comprised of highly valued money movement, fraud protection and check reconciliation features — and Total Tax Complete(SM), a set of compliance services including tax filing, state unemployment insurance management, new hire reporting and HR help desk services.

Initially, the sales outreach will be made in targeted territories with plans for a nationwide rollout later this year. This program will be available to all First Data bank alliance partners and independent sales organizations to participate, providing there is not an existing relationship with ADP.

“With more than 500,000 new small businesses launching every year, ADP’s relationship with First Data helps to expand our reach in this marketplace. The pairing of our professional sales distribution networks dedicated to small businesses is a natural fit to serve the market,” said Alan Sheiness, President, ADP Small Business Services. “First Data is a well-respected and trusted partner in the small business community and we are pleased to have them marketing our products and services. Small business owners will now have one more convenient way to access our offerings.”

“First Data is pleased to team with ADP, a company with more than 50 years of payroll expertise, to offer additional value to small businesses,” said John Shlonsky, President of First Data’s Alliance Services. “This agreement adds value to small merchants by taking away what can be cumbersome tasks associated with managing payroll and freeing their time to better manage their business. We are excited to provide this additional value to our clients.”

ADP Small Business Services provides accurate and convenient payroll and integrated business solutions for small businesses with fewer than 50 employees, as well as accountants. Its offerings include payroll management, tax and compliance, human resource management, benefit administration, time and labor management, and insurance services.
