Folks in the UK are becoming increasingly vocal in their criticisms of banks and their lending and business policies.


Leading the complaint list, according to the Banking Code Standards Board (BCSB), were worries about overdraft and default charges as well as complaints about loans. The BCSB reported that overall, complaints about banks were up nearly 25% from the same period a year ago.


The UK?s consumer watchdog, the Office of Fair Trading, has already been cracking down on the banking industry. In April, the group compelled banks to ease charges associated with credit cards.
