A debt collector in southern Minnesota has been accused of taking debtors’ funds but not sending them to the companies for which she was collecting.


The collector, from Blue Earth, MN, was charged Dec. 7 in Faribault County District Court with three counts of theft by swindle and three counts of theft by false representation. The complaint says creditor clients were owed more than $14,000.
