Cymetrix(SM), a leader in providing hospitals with revenue cycle management solutions, announced the opening of a new business process outsourcing center in the Nashville area. The new center reflects Cymetrix’s plan to expand the company’s geographic reach and its business capabilities.

The Nashville center completes the geographic expansion of Cymetrix, creating a center of operations to provide timely service to East Coast clients. In addition, the center expands the company’s capabilities to support its recently developed Adaptive Revenue Cycle Solutions model. Cymetrix also has business process outsourcing centers in Los Angeles and Dallas.

“Now we can provide our clients with timely support with our coast-to-coast coverage,” said Michael Halberda, president and CEO of Cymetrix. “In addition, we’ve expanded our infrastructure to support our new Adaptive Revenue Cycle Solutions model that offers our clients end-to-end revenue cycle management solutions.”

Cymetrix Expands Business Capabilities

The Cymetrix Adaptive Revenue Cycle Solutions model is designed to be a total resource, providing fully integrated Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) for the revenue cycle. It integrates patient access, health information management and patient financial services, offering hospitals a complete revenue cycle strategy.

At the core of this adaptive model is Cymetrix’s holistic approach. The model identifies opportunities for revenue cycle performance improvement and develops comprehensive solutions. These solutions enable a hospital to collect appropriate revenue faster and more efficiently. Halberda says the model has the flexibility to accommodate the specific needs of clients while providing a seamless approach to total revenue cycle management.

“The model is designed to provide comprehensive, customized solutions,” Halberda said. “The best solution may involve business process supervision or total outsourcing, appropriate supplemental technology or better use of in-house resources. Or it may be a blend of these approaches. Whatever a client requires, the model will deliver a solution designed to improve every aspect of the revenue cycle.”

Nashville Center is Strategically Located

Cymetrix selected Nashville as a location for its new business process outsourcing center to service its projected growth of clients and strategic partners in the East. Debra Stall will lead the Nashville office as senior vice president of Eastern Region Operations.

Before joining Cymetrix, Stall was vice president, Revenue Cycle Services, with Emdeon Corporation. Previously, she was director, Patient Financial Services, with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She joined Cymetrix earlier this year to establish the company’s presence in the East, concentrating on business development and client relations. She will be responsible for setting up client support operations at the new center, just southwest of Nashville, in Franklin, Tenn.

“Nashville is an ideal location for our new business process outsourcing center,” Stall said. “We look forward to joining the dynamic environment of a city that is widely recognized as the capital of the healthcare industry.”

Nashville is home to nearly 300 healthcare companies, including healthcare management companies that own or operate 39 percent of the investor-owned hospitals in the United States.

Cymetrix’s business process outsourcing centers are staffed to handle a variety of functions. These include patient access, health information management and patient financial services. Cymetrix expects to add about 100 staff members in Nashville over the next year.

Organized in 2001, Cymetrix quickly earned a reputation as a results-driven revenue cycle management and solutions company. As its client base grew, it expanded in 2004 by opening a business process outsourcing center in Dallas.
