CreditWatch University (CWU), an affiliate of CreditWatch Services Ltd. (CWS), announced that Austin Cancer Centers has engaged CWU to deliver their flagship 4-part educational curriculum. The series is provided to healthcare facility admissions staff with the broad focus being the enhancement of patient data gathering and patient payment at point of admission.

Victor Ortiz, who is the curriculum facilitator, observes that, “Austin Cancer Center understands not only the sensitivity of how to handle the situations of a life threatening manor, but also the importance of educating their team through CreditWatch University on how to handle the financial aspects of their business with the same level of sensitivity.”

CreditWatch University was established by Victor Ortiz, the Chancellor of the program, with the intention of educating the sometimes overlooked admissions teams within hospitals and other healthcare facilities. With over 30 years in the medical collections industry, Victor was able to see the challenges that these individuals face on a daily basis and designed CreditWatch University’s curriculum.

Mr. Ortiz has trained hundreds with consistent and measurable increased efficiencies at patient point of admission. In fact, average increase of patient payment routinely exceeds 20%, while increased data gathering accuracy jumps over 35%. Further, patient satisfaction at point of admission has translated into a more robust and meaningful patient/facility relationship.
