The Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Assigned Risk Plan (MWCARP) has chosen two collection agency vendors as a result of its request for proposal process earlier this year. The vendors selected were The Affiliated Group (TAG) and Joseph, Mann & Creed (JMC).
MWCARP is the source of workers’ compensation and employers’ liability coverage for Minnesota employers who have been unable to secure such coverage through the voluntary market. A three-year engagement with options, MWCARP?s contract with TAG and JMC will have these vendors pursue the collection of a portfolio with annual placements most recently reported at nearly $5,000,000, and rising.
To be selected for the contract, both TAG and JMC had to demonstrate knowledge and expertise related to the portfolio, the ability to deliver services based on successful past experience, professional expertise and availability of high quality staff, and effective management controls. Selection by MWCARP indicates that both firms offer public and private sector clients a high level of service quality.
Bill Mann, Partner with JMC, remarked, ?This is the culmination of the hard work of our entire Insurance Division. Formed just under three years ago from a blank slate, we are honored to have been named on this contract for MWCARP. It is a source of great satisfaction that our insurance industry references speak so highly of us.?
?We are honored to be awarded this contract,? stated Mark Neeb, President and CEO of TAG. “This award represents our ongoing commitment to help government entities better serve the public and lower costs through generating additional revenue for our clients.”
Nick Bernardo, principal of Net Gain Marketing, which tracks government contracts for collection, added, ?As always when marketing to the government, it?s important for collection agencies to deliver the right message at the right time to the evaluation team. It?s not enough to have experience?you have to be able to tell your story effectively, too. In this case, both firms clearly communicated the value they offered.?
