San Antonio has landed its first new company of the year. Harris Connect selected San Antonio for a new customer call center that will employ more than 250 people. The privately held company, based in Chesapeake, Va., provides directories, data research and Internet services for educational institutions and other organizations.


“To start, we are hiring 250 staff members, but we left more room for growth and we hope to be able to grow it,” said Susan L. D’Agostino, Harris Connect’s senior vice president of administration.
