Fish won’t fry in the kitchen. Beans won’t burn on the grill. Looking to expand its offices, Birmingham-based Revenue Discovery Systems, a high-tech collection agency that deals primarily with government contracts, is taking advantage of some prime loft space in Birmingham?s burgeoning loft district and moving on up, according to a story in the Birmingham News.

The move will allow the agency to double its employees to 150 people.

“The space we’re currently in – we’re just on top of each other,” said RDS President Kennon Walthall. “The new space will give us room to grow.”

The company uses databases, online payment technology and other computer systems as it conducts both collection and administrative support business for clients.

“In addition to providing ample room for personnel, this new facility will allow us to add state-of-the-art systems, upgraded phone technology and training areas for call-center employees,” Walthall explained.
