Wells Fargo announced last month that their call center in Aberdeen, SD will be transitioned to Wells Fargo Auto Finance. The call center had been handling collections across the Wells Fargo spectrum, but will now exclusively work delinquent auto accounts.
The integration of the Aberdeen site results from Auto Finance?s growth and staffing needs in the collections area. ?During the next six month, we will be actively recruiting an additional 150 or so people at the Aberdeen site,? said Dan Dissen, senior vice president, Loss Mitigation at Wells Fargo Auto Finance, in a press release. The site currently employees around 250 people, according to a spokesperson for the firm.
The site will continue to be managed by Keith Hurley, collections manager, and will initially focus on one to 30-day delinquencies.
Wells Fargo said that the non-auto collection work that had been done in Aberdeen will be spread to other collection centers around the country.
According to the release, Wells Fargo Auto Finance has grown at a 27% annualized compounded growth rate during the last four years. It is the nation?s largest indirect, noncaptive auto loan originator in the United States and the largest noncaptive, nonprime lender in Canada.
