Hospital System Apologizes for Mix Up in Debt Purchasing Case

Turns out, it was Forum Health?s fault all along.

Recently, patients who had received treatment at Forum Health were receiving collection notices for unpaid medical bills from Premium Asset Recovery Corp. As per usual, the collection agency was blamed and vilified. Instead, as it turns out, the error was caused by Forum Health and an accounting error.

“On behalf of the entire Forum management team, I sincerely apologize to those patients and their families for this error and for any inconvenience or distress it caused,” said Dr. Keith T. Ghezzi, interim president and chief executive officer, in the health system’s weekly newsletter, the Forum Flash.
