Talgentra today announced that ABN AMRO Netherlands has chosen Talgentra?s Tallyman Revenue Management and Collections system to manage customers in arrears.

Tallyman will enable ABN AMRO to adopt the most effective and proven techniques for ensuring provisioning and bad debt write-off is minimised. The bottom-line benefit will be improved profits. The bank will use Tallyman to manage customers in arrears on mortgage, credit card and loan repayments as well as those who exceed their overdraft limits. In an implementation and integration contract valued at £2 million over five years, Tallyman will replace a combination of existing proprietary systems and a generic work flow product.

ABN AMRO evaluated a variety of different products available on the market and Tallyman was chosen after a three-month pilot that resulted in an immediate improvement in arrears levels. The pilot also proved that Tallyman is very easy to customise and can be easily integrated with existing processes.

ABN AMRO Netherlands is overhauling its collection processes and implementing best of breed specialist systems. When choosing a collections system, ease of use, flexibility and the ability to customise and integrate it with the existing bank IT infrastructure were extremely important. Tallyman was the overall winner in the assessment categories.

Tallyman manages the collections process of financial institutions such as ABN AMRO by consolidating all customer communications relating to debt including phone calls, emails, letters and faxes into a single database. Many of the administrative elements of the collections processes such as the issue of personalised standard letters are then completed automatically by Tallyman.

Brian Dewis, CEO of Talgentra, said: ?Yet another bank chooses Talgentra?s Tallyman system to reduce its write-off levels. This is a strong growth market for us, as banks are now actively looking for systems and techniques that keep revenue recovery rates high and minimise their risk levels.?
